Matt Lamont is a designer, collector, educator, and public speaker passionate about research-led design. As co-founder of Out of Place Studio, a design agency specialising in graphic design and web development, they have delivered major projects for clients such as Heart Research UK, the Natural History Museum, and the Children's Heart Research Fund.
Matt is also the driving force behind Design Reviewed, an initiative that connects students and professionals with graphic design history through his personal archive of over 5,000 books, journals, catalogues, posters, and other ephemera. The archive contains over 5,000 printed design artifacts, which Matt utilises as a catalyst for educational workshops and talks, and as a wellspring of inspiration for students and professionals. The online archive has over 61.000 monthly views and is a highly popular resource for design professionals around the globe.
